Classes for You

We have been busy seeking out new and different classes for our fall line up! You’ll see “Spanish - Sing, Dance & Speak”, Art w/ Jennifer Didlake, Kids Make the News Web-Interactive, Guitar, Music Together w/ Lisa, Sewing and more, along with some tried and true favorites such as Art with Edie, Music American Idol Style, Kids Take Center Stage, the list goes on. School is out! Beat the heat and join Classes For You for some summer fun inside! We have art camps and classes, art and music fun, drama camps, a book lunch club, even special “get ready for school” camps for rising kindergartners and first graders the weeks of Aug. 4 and Aug. 11. Join us for the 2nd Annual Shops at Wellesley Family Fun Day this Saturday! There will be inflatables (obstacle course, slide), free cotton candy and popcorn, incredible vendors selling glassware, jewelry, home accessories, tervis tumblers, personalized items, fused glass products, and more! The SPCA will have animals for adoption, classic cars on display, a money machine, and raffles for great prizes.

So beat the heat with us!  We have Cool Summer Camps featuring Art, Music, Drama, Science, Spanish, Karate Kid Smarts, and more!  Prepare your child for the next step at school with our book clubs, kindergarten and first grade camps.  Take a class before the lazy days of summer - our spring session runs through mid-June for most classes.

We’re thrilled that Weight Watchers has joined our growing list of fabulous classes and seminars! Regular meeting times starting April 1 are Mondays at 12:30pm and 6:00pm, Wednesdays at 9:30am and Saturdays at 8:00am.  Get ready for summer with Weight Watchers at Classes For You!

Our afternoon classes are a blast - check out the fun!  Art and Spanish on Mondays, Drama on Tuesdays and Thursdays, No-Cook Cooking on Wednesdays, Sing (American Idol Style!) on Thursdays…new sessions of Mad Science, Ocean Encounters, Photography for Kids, Drama, Little Bakers and Paint & Play Ceramics starting soon.  Don’t miss out - grab and friend and join in the fun!

So much to learn, so little time! The world is full of interesting, artistic, and helpful things to know. Taking a class in a new subject is exciting and motivating, but not always easy to fit into the busy family schedule.  Classes For You wants to solve that problem. It is a new business begun by two stay-at-home moms who understand your desire for enrichment and your busy schedule. They offer more than 90 extended learning classes each week at their convenient Short Pump location. Classes are for adults and children, and include: drawing, ceramics, persuasive writing, jewelry making, CPR, gardening, foreign languages, music, yoga, and so many more. (Birthday Parties and Room Rentals also available.) There are ongoing classes and single-event morning workshops and seminars, as well as evening and Saturday classes. If you can’t decide on one class, you can try a sampler to experience the wide variety of offerings. We have 6 weeks worth of fun classes starting the week of January 7, 2008. Join a class now and we will prorate your class fee. Check our schedule and class descriptions to find that fun class to beat the wintertime blues!

…and we have added two Saturday art classes, as well as some after 5pm classes, to our schedule. Abrakadoodle presents a Twoosy/Mini Doodlers art class at 9:30am and a Portfolio Art class at 10:30am. The Twoosy/Mini Doodlers art class is also available at 5:15pm on Thursdays, while we offer Mommy ‘N Me Music as well as Baby Signs Say and Play classes Tuesdays at 5:15pm. Of course, we still have an incredible line up of evening workshops and seminars from which to choose. Check us out this winter - classes start Dec. 3.
